We recently launched our Grants Administration system for the Heritage Council.

How it works

You fill in all your information online. There is an help facility for every screen to guide you through the application and also a ready reckoner to help you summarise your project costs.

The system will check that you have filled in all the information that the Heritage Council need. You can print off your completed application so you have a record of what you submitted and you will get an email acknowledgement when it is received.

If you have photographs or reports that need to accompany your application, these can be submitted electronically.

Bi-Lingual

The system is available in both English & Irish.  The applicant can switch between Irish & English at any stage during the application process. As we knew from the beginning that the Grants system was required in both languages, we were able to build in this facility into the software for the Heritage Council at no additional cost.

Cost Saving

The Heritage Council hope to make cost savings through reduced printing costs, reduction in administration time and time saved in generation letters to applicants.

You can apply directly at www.heritagecouncil.ie/grants/

Website Update

October 12, 2009

We have given our website a makeover. We have cleared out a huge amount of data that was giving internal information about ourselves and instead we have concentrated for the timebeing on a product promotion focus. We will be adding more customer focussed features over time but for now it hopefully gives a better picture of what we do.

Quick Survey to help Salespulse

September 19, 2009

We are in the process of developing and researching our “Company Relationship Builder” product for China and have designed a short survey to help identify what companies that are trading with China require in such a product. If you are trading or planning to trade with China I would very much appreciate you taking a couple of minutes to complete this survey by clicking here.

Update 10th Oct – A number of companies have completed this survey and we are very grateful for same. However the UCD Confucius Institute has undertake similar research on a more comprehensive basis and this provides the research answers I was trying to find.

New Online Course Booking system due to go live

August 22, 2009

We are planning to go live with the above on 1st September and are doing the final testing. Kildare VEC are the first to offer this system from Salespulse. Anyone in County Kildare will be able to search over 300 courses and filter their selection by Education Centre, by Course Type and even by day of the week. In other words show me what computer courses are running on a Tuesday night in Naas.

Once the person decides on the course, they can book and pay for it with credit card or laser card. They will get an email confirmation and Kildare VEC can even send a text to the class before it starts to remind students of starting time. Once someone registers they will be given a password and they can log in at any stage to see what they have booked and also what courses they have already completed.

Kildare VEC are hoping that they will achieve a significant reduction in administration and paperwork while providing an enhanced service to the public. We are delighted to be working with them to develop what we hope will be an excellent facility and case study.

Bizcamp in September

August 15, 2009

Have registered to attend Bizcamp on Saturday 19th September. I attended the previous bizcamp in Dublin which had a few hudred attendees and found it very informative and a very good networking day.

bizcamp2009

I would describe it as a networking day for people starting or running businesses. There are a large number of speakers to choose from on the day. There is always a strong interest from the technology sector.

This time they are allowing 400 attend and have almost 250 registered.

Best of luck to Keith Bohanna & his colleagues with the organising.

Opportunities in China Seminar – May 13th

May 12, 2009

Attended conference.

Very good background to the history and culture of China, and very practical advice about what is involved in doing business in China.
The changes in the last 20 years in China have been phenomenal and there are over 200 million wealth middle class.
There are still many opportunities despite the global downturn.
Don’t underestimate the large resources that need to be applied to successfully build business relationships in China.

Areas of opportunity IT, Software, Education & Food.

As we are involved in the Software & Education sectors, it is definitely worth us pursuing this market further.

       ———————————————————————-

We are attending the above conference organised by Waterford City Enterprise Board.  The company China Green are talking at it.

We already have two of our software products translated into Chinese and we are always looking for opportunities to expand so it will be interesting to see what the conference has to say.

Existing products – We have 5 VECs around Ireland that have our Language Pulse system. If a chinese student for example wanted to learn or improve their English they could follow all the unstructions and register in Chinese and then undertake a test to assess their current level of English.

We have a product that manages a truck service department on trial in Canada. Parts of the system have been translated into both traditional and simplified Chinese to facilitate the large Chinese community our customer is dealing with.

Support World Asthma Day

May 11, 2009

I would encourage all to support one of our customers – the Irish Asthma Society - on World Asthma day

Company first posting

November 23, 2008

by Brian Kelly CEO, Salespulse

We started this company in 2002 with the intention of filling some of the niches and gaps that we saw in the software industry. At the time we saw that service & support was an area that left a lot to be desired.

7 years is a long time in software development. Areas that have evolved or progressed significantly in that time include Blogging, Selling Software as a Service, Podcasting, RSS feeds, release by manufacturers of Software development tools to encourage organisation to adapt the software themselves and much more.

We believed, when starting the company, and still believe that a tailored product that provides what an organisation needs is the key to success. The problem being that people wants the customised software product for the Off the Shelf price.

We have tried therefore to develop products that have appeal to a larger number of customers which can be customised by the individual organisation.

We work in a number of different sectors, Business, Education & Health.

Overtime I will talk about the technology, the different markets we are in, selling (or trying to sell !) & marketing software in a tighter economy, the issues & challenges that a growing company faces. I would be delighted with any contributions or discussion.
